I'm a bad blogger.
Sure I have opinions, I just don't take enough time to share them with you. For that I apologize.
For this though, I have no apology...

The iphone is banned at the work place. Our network guy will not hook them up to the network because there are still several security hole that apple has not resolved.
good going Apple
Are they banned from being on the network or are they banned from use as an internet-capable phone?
Personally, I think having a phone with this many bells and whistles (or bong or monkey sounds or whatever) is a bad idea. You're asking for trouble. Just give me a phone with a contact list. That's all I really need. Throw in a notepad and a calculator and maybe it should keep time and maybe even have a stopwatch function. But anything so complex ... well, in the words of Captain Scott "The more they overwork the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."
And it's nice to have the Kingdom of D blogging again.
I agree with ya Paxman, except for one small point: There are already phones with all the features (plus more) of the iPhone that exist on networks today that don't have those problems. And don't cost $600 with a required 2 year calling/data plan.
Oh, and because the only mail option is pop3 it's a no brainer for exclusion from the corporate network.
